  • FCS Class of 2020 Outscores National, State SAT Averages

    The FCS Class of 2020 earned an average total score of 1069 on the curriculum-based college entrance and placement exam, which exceeds the National public school average by 39 points and the State by 26 points.

  • FCS Child Nutrition Meals Free to All Students

    FCS Child Nutrition program will not charge any fees to any students for lunches through Dec. 31, 2020 (the end date is dependent on available funding), based on extended meal service flexibilities from the USDA. Breakfast is already served to all students free of charge.

  • New Guidelines for Students Identified as Close Contacts to Positive COVID-19 Cases

    After receiving direct communications from the Governor’s office and from the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH), effective Monday, September 14, 2020, Floyd County Schools (FCS) will follow existing DPH administrative quarantine orders pertaining to students identified as having possible exposure to or close contacts with a student or employee who is known to have tested positive for COVID-19. FCS encourages all students and parents to follow DPH’s guidelines or directives.
