Rhythm and Reading Workshop Brings Music to Literacy Learning
With musical assistance from her son, professional violinist Tim Reynolds, Dr. Ringer conducted a fun-filled morning that delighted the children and educated the parents on simple strategies for learning, using nursery rhymes, homemade instruments, and holiday songs.

Johnson Elementary School fifth-grader Will Hosford correctly spelled “carnival” and then “kangaroo” to win the Floyd County Schools’ District Spelling Bee Tuesday morning at the Floyd County Schools’ central office.

Greg Smith of the Floyd County College and Career Academy (CCA) has been named the Floyd County Schools (FCS) Teacher of the Year for 2020! Mr. Smith is now competing for Georgia Teacher of the Year for 2021.
